Need to go online or check your email? Plumas County, California, has a number of locations where you can stay connected while you're on a visit.
The Plumas County Visitors Bureau, located at Hwy. 70, 1/2 mi. west of downtown now offers free wireless internet for visitors to wirelessly check their email from their own laptops while on vacation.
Public libraries in Chester, Greenville, Quincy and Portola offer free access on weekdays and Saturdays, with varying hours.
There also are community centers which offer computers and Internet access on weekdays only in all four towns.
In addition, Quincy has two businesses where you can get Internet access or hook up a laptop for a fee.
A small number of motels and lodges now offer data ports.
